Things Are Looking Up

Skálholt, Iceland was the cultural, ecclesiastical, and political hub of Iceland for 700 years. Evidence suggests that, from 1056 (that's a long time!), there was a church there. In the 11th century, it was one of the most populated areas of the country. What an incredible, peaceful place.
