Alexander was referring to Edinburgh, and I have to agree with him. Alleyways and corners provide new and breathtaking views that catch you unaware. You simply have to stop and stare.

This was a view that caught me because the fading golden light through the trees was echoed in the window and down the stairs. I stood a long time at the top of the stairs with my Love just watching. A young man walking up the stairs saw me taking pictures and he turned. And I think he saw. He quietly walked over next to me, drew out his phone and snapped some pictures. His smile lit up his face. And for a silent moment, we drank of the magic.
